The inaugural project of No Waste NOLA is a single-use plastic bag ban, similar to those passed in cities across the country, and the entire states of both California and Hawaii!

Here’s the basic plan:

1) Eliminate single-use-plastic bags at retail checkout counters

2) Attach a ten cent fee on paper backs distributed at retail checkout counters

3)Regulate reusable bags to ensure that the minimum standards promote human and environmental safety.
